Volunteering Program Points Chart

Note: All Volunteers must complete required Training and Background Check in order to be eligible for points

Volunteering Activity	Points	Notes
League-wide Roles
Board Member	10 points	Any elected board member
Snack Bar Leader	10 points	Snack Bar Leaders are responsible for the operations and overseeing of Snack Bars and volunteers on assigned days - this includes opening and closing the Snack Bars. Must complete a minimum of 4 shifts to receive full 10 points.
Team Roles
Manager	10 points*	*All managers will be required to complete the entire “FCLL Manager Requirements” list to receive their entire 10 points. This is an all or nothing requirement
Assistant Coach	10 points	AAA and up- 2 rostered; AA and below – 3 rostered
Practice Coach	5 points	AAA and up - Max 2 per team (must be designated by manager)
Team Parent	10 points	Teams can have 2x team parents at 5 pts each if desired
Team Safety Coordinator	5 points	Team contact for safety needs, first aid, etc.
Team Volunteer Coordinator	10 points	Tracks and credits volunteer hours on team
Activities
Field Days	1-2 points per shift	Points will be assigned depending on level of work
League Events	2-3 points per shift	Tryouts Opening Day, Closing Day, Hit A Thon, Spirit Day, Picture Day Tournaments
Approved Projects or Trade Skills Donations	Points will be assigned depending on level of work (1-10 points)	Examples: sponsorship banners (hanging, removing, cleaning); league signage hanging, cement work, electrical work, plumbing, etc.
Volunteer Umpire Assignment	4 points per game for plate assignment 2 points per game for base assignment	Games must be separate from team-assigned games. No member of a team shall be given volunteer points for covering a game that is assigned to a team (ex: volunteer parent covers game assigned to Team X when Team X is assigned that game *Must be fulfilling umpire assignment as a volunteer
Clinics / Trainings	2 points per clinic, 1 point per discussion attended	Umpire clinics and monthly discussions
Trash Pickup	2 points per pickup per park	Must be arranged on a weekly basis with [email protected] or [email protected]
Scorekeeping	Points assigned by team volunteer coordinator	10 points available per team, 2 scorekeepers allowed per team for 5 points award each. Applicable to Minor A divisions and up
Snack Bar Support	3 points per 4 hour shift	Working inside the snack bar or manning the BBQ grill
Game Day Prep	Points assigned by team volunteer coordinator	Preparing fields for practice and games, includes dragging, chalking, placing bases, etc. before and after practices and games 10 points available per team, 2 allowed per team for 5 points award each
Laundry	1 point per shift	Laundering of umpire clothing, picked up Saturdays 4 PM, returned by Monday 4 PM
Batting Cage Cleanup	2 points per shift	Cleaning of batting cages, hitting and pitching stations at Marshall Park. Includes vacuuming and tidying of cages, emptying of garbage can.
