Tee Ball - FCLL Tee Ball is combined baseball and softball for boys and girls 4-7 years old who want to learn the fundamentals of hitting and fielding. In Tee Ball, players hit a ball off a batting tee. Rules of the game may be varied to accommodate the need for teaching. The primary goals of Tee Ball are to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and softball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork. 7 year olds would usually only play tee ball if they have never played tee ball before and needed extra time to develop their skills.

Minor B is an instructional development program typically for 7-9 year olds that introduces the players to softball in a fun, learning environment. Depending on the number of registrations, Minor B softball may be combined with Minor B baseball to ensure sufficient players and teams for a fun and rewarding experience. The diamond has 60-foot base paths and a 35 foot pitching distance. Players will learn concepts of balls and strikes, hitting from pitched balls, appropriate base running, situational fielding, and pitching. Try outs are required for placement on Minor B teams to ensure teams are balanced appropriately. 6 year olds with previous tee ball, baseball or softball experience may try out for Minor B. 9 year olds with little or no previous baseball or softball experience may be placed in Minor B for additional development.

Minor A is a competitive development program for 8-11 year olds that begins challenging players to execute on the ball field. The diamond has 60-foot base paths and a 35 foot pitching distance. Players will learn situational awareness on offense and defense, identifying and hitting player-pitched balls, base stealing, pitching and catching. Try outs are required to be drafted to Minor A teams to ensure teams are balanced appropriately. 8 year olds with exceptional fundamental softball skills may be drafted to a Minor A team. 12 year olds who need additional development may stay on the Minor A team with approval of the district administrator.

Majors is the standard for youth baseball and softball for 10-12 year olds that allows players to display the skills developed through the rest of the Little League program. The field uses a 60-foot diamond and a 40 foot pitching distance. A local league may dual-roster 12-year-olds, assessed capable, to a Major and a Junior division softball teams. Players will utilize teamwork, positioning, and situational awareness in a competitive environment that results in All-Star play with the opportunity to get to the Little League World Series. Try outs are required for placement on Majors teams. 10 year olds with exceptional skills development may be chosen for Majors.

Junior League Division is for girls ages 12-14, and uses a conventional 60-foot diamond with a 43 foot pitching distance. Depending on the number of players, the Junior and Senior division may be combined.
