Volunteer Requirements

Refer to the table below for required training and clearance by role or position. Training must be completed prior to assuming any role within FCLL.

Training and background checks must be completed annually as they reset every year on October 1. For more detailed information about Little League's volunteer requirements please visit their website. The state of California has additional requirements for volunteers which include Sudden Cardiac Awareness, Concussion Protocol, and California Mandated Reporter Guidelines.

Important: When you complete each training, download or take a screenshot of your certificate of completion. All certificates of completion must be logged and uploaded using our Google form.

In order to initiate your background check, you must register as a volunteer on SportsConnect for the season of which you are applying. This may be done during registration or after. For assistance, please refer to the How to sign up as a volunteer job aid.
